A man was so worried he didn’t even bother to wash his hair when he visited the beach, his friends told The Irish News.
“He said he thought it was the beginning of the apocalypse,” said Patrick McGowan, a friend of the victim, who did not want to be identified.
“I said I was really worried and said it was something that we should have been worried about, but we haven’t got any news on it yet,” Mr McGowan said.
He added that he believed the man was an anime fan.
“Everyone’s been having a good time and it was nice to have a bit of beach time to ourselves. “
We were just hanging out and chatting with friends,” he said.
The man had gone to the beach on Sunday and was walking around when he spotted his friend wearing a “boy” haircut. “
His friends were just saying ‘Oh my god, what have we got here?’.”

“As soon as he saw him he jumped on him,” Mr O’Brien said.
The man had a large cut on his head and was in a good mood, said Mr McGowan.
He said he was told he would be taken to a hospital.
The victim had been walking his dog at the beach when the incident occurred.
He went to his friend’s house to help wash his head.
“A couple of the other guys who were at the party just walked away laughing,” he added.
